India increases atrocities after defeat in Op. Banyan Marsus: Mushaal Malik


LAHORE: (Friday, May 30, 2025): Hurriyat leader Mushaal Malik has said that India carried out a false flag operation in Pahalgam and after the defeat in Operation Banyan Marsus, India has increased atrocities in occupied Kashmir. She said that with the help of artificial intelligence, India showed destruction of many Pakistani cities and Sikh shrines by spreading false news. She said that Pakistan has badly exposed the Indian media in front of the whole world. She was addressing the third “International Media and Communication Conference” in collaboration with Punjab University Department of Communication and Media Research, University of Management and Technology and other institutions at the auditorium of the Institute of Administrative Sciences. The conference was attended by Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, Head School of Communication Studies Prof Dr Abida Ashraf, Chairperson DCMR Prof Dr Nosheena Saleem, Chairman Department of Journalism Studies Dr Mian Hanan, Dean UMT Dr Anjum Zia, DG PEMRA Ikram Barkat, President Academic Staff Association Dr Amjad Abbas Magsi, Dr Nizamuddin, Abid Sherwani, senior journalist Akram Habib, prominent scholars, media professionals, policymakers, faculty members and students from the country and abroad.

Addressing the ceremony, Mushaal Malik said that the Kashmir issue is once again being highlighted all over the world and Indian diplomacy is failing. She said that China's role in the region is very important; China can control the water of Brahmaputra. She said that the media will have to make more efforts to highlight Kashmir issue. She said that all Hurriyat leaders are in jail, and the movements of freedom fighters are being monitored by drone cameras. She said that Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik should be released and he should be included in every matter. She said that if the Kashmir issue is resolved, the entire terror system of India will be destroyed.

Provincial Minister for Minorities Ramesh Singh Arora said that the intersection of media and artificial intelligence is the need of the hour. He lauded the efforts of the organizers for addressing a topic of growing global relevance, media and artificial intelligence. He also appreciated the efforts of the DCMR for organizing this timely and crucial conference. He said that countries that are advancing rapidly in AI and communication technologies are emerging as global leaders. This conference is a significant step toward ensuring that Pakistan is not left behind in this transformative era, he added. He extended his congratulations to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, and commended the leadership and dedication of Dr Noshina Saleem, Dr Mian Hannan, and the entire team for organizing a highly successful and impactful event. Prof Dr Muhammad Ali said that steps are being taken to introduce the subject of artificial intelligence in every department of PU. He said that Kashmir will always be in the heart of every Pakistani and we will continue to fight India not for our water or for ourselves but for Kashmiris. He said that we will continue to raise our voice at every level for the freedom of Kashmiri leaders. He said that the role of media and social science along with technology has been very important in this war. He said that technology is important, but making everyone a technologist will upset the balance of society. He said that a degree has its own importance but it should not be obtained only for earning money. He said that PU provides the best educational environment to students with limited resources. He said that PU, GCU Lahore and QAU have produced many important personalities in Pakistan. He said that Pakistani media reported very responsibly during the Indo-Pak war. He said that like other sectors, the use of artificial intelligence is also increasing in the media, and in this regard, arrangements are being made for training of teachers. He appreciated the efforts of the organizers including Dr Noshina Saleem for the excellent conference. DG PEMRA Ikram Barkat, Dr Nizamuddin, Abid Sherwani, Dr Nosheena Saleem, Dr Hanan Ahmed, senior journalist Akram Habib, Dr Zia Anjum and others also addressed the ceremony.
